Hiking on the Coscione plateau (Southern Corsica)

Description

Between pozzines, torrents, moors and pastures, I will guide you during this magnificent hike in a labyrinth of fantastic landscapes that herds of horses roam freely.

Less than an hour drive from the seaside, you will discover on the Coscione plateau another aspect of Corsica, while contemplating the southern shores of the island from these magnificent mountains.

Off the beaten track, I will show you the hidden wonders of this exceptional place!

 

It is also possible to discover the plateau of Coscione over a weekend or in winter on an amazing snowshoeing trek.

I also offer other beautiful day hikes to discover southern Corsica in a different way:

• a discovery of the secret paths of Bavella,
• a hike to the Ospedale,
• a day at the Pozzi,
• the ascent of Monte Renosu
• and the discovery of Purcaraccia waterfalls.

Program

• Meeting at 8am in Solenzara or at 9am in the village of Quenza (in front of the castle) below Bavella pass.
• Transfer by 4WD vehicle to the start of the hike.
• Departure of the hike towards the plateau of Coscione at 9.30 am.
• About 3 hours and a half  of walking with a positive altitude difference of 150 meters.
• Picnic taken on the spot.
• Return to the parking lot around 3pm.
• Limited to 7 people.

The price includes

• Supervision by the mountain leader.
• The transfer by 4WD vehicle to the start of the hike.

The price does not include

• Transport to and from Solenzara or Quenza.
• Optional Corsican picnic: 10€ per person.
