Hiking and bivouac in the Champsaur (Hautes-Alpes)

Description

I propose you a hiking trip with bivouac under tent in the Champsaur, in the heart of the Hautes-Alpes. This outing is for average hikers who want to discover the activity or improve their skills. Indeed, the efforts are not violent and are spread over the day. The main thing is to have fun.

In addition to the fun aspect of this outing, this hike will allow you to be in touch with nature, to reconnect with the natural pleasure of "being in the mountains" and also to enjoy the magnificent Champsaurin landscapes under the sun of the Hautes-Alpes while walking at your own pace!

Program

Meeting at Les Beaumes (Champoléon valley) at 8am where I will wait for you for the presentation of the trip and the last adjustments of your backpack. Then, departure for your hike. Be ready and dressed for this first day!

D1: from Beaumes (1346m) to the plateau of Val Estrèche (2674m).
We start from the hamlet of Beaumes to begin a climb in the Val Estrèche (narrow valley). We take advantage of regular stops to observe the wildlife (chamois and ibex) and we set up our bivouac on the plateau of the Val Estrèche.
Positive altitude difference: 840 meters, 5 to 6 hours of walking.

D2: from the plateau of Val Estrech (2674m) to the Tête de Virante (2674m) and back to the hamlet of Beaumes.
We leave at dawn to enjoy the sunrise at the top of the Virante head. Then we take our time through the mountain pasture to go back down and why not take a dip in the torrent.
D+: 500m, D-: 1000m, 5 to 6 hours of walking.
End of the stay and dispersion at the hamlet of Beaumes around 5 pm.

Important: Depending on the weather or for any other reason beyond my control, I may have to modify this program exceptionally. My local presence in the heart of the Champsaur and the Écrins allows me to respond as well as possible to these constraints without harming the interest of your stay.

The price includes

• Supervision by the mountain leader.
• The ultra-light 2-seater tent, with sleeping bag, ground mattress and sleeping bag.
• The kitchen kit: pan + stove + gas.
• If you have your own equipment (stove, tent, comforter, mattress) and you want to bring it, please inform me when you register.

The price does not include

• Transport to and from the meeting place.
• Your individual dishes (bowl + glass + cutlery, preferable folding dishes).
• An airtight box if needed for picnics.
• Snacks.
• Anything not mentioned in "The price includes".
