Snowshoeing stay in the Hautes-Alpes

Description

This snowshoeing stay in the Hautes Alpes is a discovery stay of 4 massifs. It is aimed at people who want to discover the mountainous massifs that surround the city of Gap! The efforts are not violent and the differences in altitude remain modest, the main thing being to have fun. It will be especially the occasion to make you discover my secret spots around Gap.

In addition to the fun aspect of these outings, this snowshoeing trip will bring you to autonomy. You will discover how to make the right choices in terms of itinerary research and safety (you will learn how to use an avalanche beacon and to probe the snow). And above all, you will enjoy the beautiful landscapes in the sun of the Hautes-Alpes, walking at your own pace!

Small groups of 10 people maximum: I favour conviviality.

All along winter I also propose to discover the Champsaur valley for a weekend, or for 4 days of snowshoeing hikes.

Program

D0 (Saturday): Arrival at the gite in Gap from 4 pm.

D1 (Sunday): Free day.

D2 (Monday): Day dedicated to the discovery of the snowshoeing activity and the Champsaur valley.
On the program: choice and adjustment of the equipment, warm up, taking into account the expectations of each person, safety notions (avalanche beacon demonstration).
Picnic lunch on the spot, return around 4pm.

D3 (Tuesday): Dévoluy massif, Darne and Chauvet pass.
Snowshoeing is not only a goal in itself. It will allow us, from the col du Festre to reach the col de Darne and why not go to Chauvet.
Picnic lunch on the spot, return around 4pm.

D4 (Wednesday): Hike to the Céüze Mountain.
Day of discovery of the cirque of Céüze with a slow ascent towards the crests. We will discover a splendid view on the Gapençais basin. Beautiful show in perspective!
Return around 4pm.

D5 (thursday): Discovery of the hidden lake of Sainte-Marguerite in the Embrunais.
Lunch at the lake with a magnificent view on the mountain pasture and the surrounding summits.
Return around 4pm.

D6 (Friday): Free day.

D7 (Saturday): Departure and release of the gite for 10 am.

This program is given as an indication and can be modified according to the weather and snow conditions.

The price includes

• Supervision by the mountain leader during the 4 days of snowshoeing.
• Loan of snowshoes and hiking poles.
• Lodging with bed linen and towels.

The price does not include

• Your transportation to get to the gite La Radiaire.
• Your transportation during the stay (carpooling possible).
• Drinks and additional expenses.
• Cancellation / assistance / repatriation / interruption insurance.
• The rental of the avalanche beacon, shovel, probe (40€) if you do not have any.
• Anything not mentioned in "The price includes".
