Description

This unusual bivouac is located near a cave of Chartreuse sheltering cave bear bones. The bivouac itself will take place on a ledge, in a privileged place to observe in peace the local fauna (including the ibex on the rock cliff), but also to enjoy the sunset.

The altitude difference is average (600 meters mandatory to the place of bivouac). The basic route presents no difficulty, and can be expanded according to the desire and shape of the group.

Program

The hike is not difficult, but the altitude difference is 600m to reach the place of bivouac, located near the Balme à Colon (cave on the west face of Granier). Once the place is reached, we will take the time to observe the fauna (including chamois and ibex). Bring your equipment of observation if you have some! On the program of the evening: an aperitif and a good convivial meal based on local products, organic, homemade!

The next day, an ascent of the Granier is possible, if the group is fit.

The departure is around 1pm in Plagne (Entremont-le-Vieux), and the return is scheduled for 12am at the same place the next day.
