Discovery weekend of the Coscione plateau

Description

Go for a weekend of hiking and discovery of the Coscione plateau in South Corsica.

Between pozzines, torrents, moors and pastures, I will guide you in a labyrinth of fantastic landscapes that are crossed by herds of horses in freedom. The night spent in a sheepfold will complete this beautiful immersion in the Corsican mountains.

Less than an hour from the sea, the Coscione plateau will show you another face of Corsica, while contemplating the southern shores of the island from these magnificent mountains.

Off the beaten track, I will show you the hidden wonders of this exceptional place!

 

It is also possible to discover the Coscione plateau on a day hike, or in winter on an amazing snowshoeing tour.

Program

D1: Hike to the Croci sheepfold on the Coscione plateau.
Meeting point on Saturday at 9am in Solenzara or at 10.15am in Quenza.
Departure of the hike around 10.45am, in the direction of the Croci sheepfold, to discover troglodyte sheepfolds, pozzines and animals.
Picnic on the plateau, evening and meal at the Croci sheepfold (on the GR20).
Night in the sheephold (dormitory).

D2: Hiking on the Cosione plateau.
After a breakfast at the sheepfold, departure for a hike to discover the most beautiful places of the plateau (GR20, pozzines, rivers, waterfalls, other sheepfolds, etc.).
Picnic on the plateau.
Return to the cars around 3pm.

The price includes

• Supervision by the mountain leader.
• Saturday lunch picnic.
• Saturday evening meal.
• Overnight in the hut (dormitories).

• Snacks (coffee-tea, canistrelli) during the hikes.

The price does not include

• Transport to and from the departue of the hike.
• Drinks during dinner and during the hikes.

Accommodation

• Night in dormitory in the Croci sheepfold (GR20).
