The path descends and then goes up through the flowering rhododendron forests, passes through Deurali, descends again, goes up and crosses: a very varied day that will take you to Landrung, always closer to the mountains and glaciers. You are in gurung country, this famous ethnic group for the bravery of its inhabitants and its soldiers, the Gurkhas. Fortunately the kindness of the inhabitants has nothing to do with this image!
D5: Landrung - Ghandrung (1940m).
Today you go to the country capital gurung, Ghandrung, a large village with nearly 5000 inhabitants, where are located the offices of the Association for the preservation of the Annapurna region. But to get there you have to go down to New Bridge and cross the Modi Khola on a long suspension bridge, then go up through the terraces on a "steep" path! This will be the first real climb of the trekking and you will enjoy it, climbing without hurry!
4h walk, altitude difference: +600m / -300m, night in lodge.

Beautiful views of the Machapuchare. A balcony path leads to the villages of Melanje (2050m) and Chiule (2050m). The path straighten and cross a forest of imposing rhododendrons, real trees, flowered in March. Standing on the ridge, Thadapani (2590m) offers a bird's eye view of the deep valley leading to the Annapurna Sanctuary. Annapurna III (7555m) and Gangapurna (7454m) dominate the place...

An exceptional day punctuated by two belvederes connected by a magnificent ridge: the classic Poon Hill, which remains a must, and the belvedere of the evening stop, Mohare Danda. Sunrise at Poon Hill, we are not alone but it is one of the most beautiful belvederes of Nepal! Then you take the Mohare Danda Ridge and keep the Dhaulagiri in sight all the way. You leave the rhododendrons, pass a magnificent sheepfold of yaks and buffaloes and stay on the crest lines. Finally you arrive at the community lodge of Mohare Danda, from where the view, once again, is impregnable. Mardi Himal, Lamjung Himal, Machapuchare, Hiunchuli, Annapurnas on one side. On the other side: the Dhaulagiris, the Tukuche ... and even the Phewa Lake of Pokhara.

4 hours of walking, altitude difference: +200m/-1200m, night in lodge.
