Off-piste skiing in the "vallée blanche" and its variants (Chamonix, Mont-Blanc)
from 65 € / p. from 1 to 6 personsInfos & Booking
The descent of the Vallée Blanche (white Valley) is a unique opportunity to discover the world of high mountains in the heart of the largest glaciers of the Mont Blanc Massif.
From the Aiguille du Midi at 3842m begins the "Vallée Blanche", one of the most famous off-piste ski slope. With its 22km descent to Chamonix, you will ski in a unique and unforgettable atmosphere.
Several routes are possible depending on the snow (see photo):
- The classic Vallée Blanche
- The real Vallée Blanche
- The small and medium Envers
- The great Envers
We meet in the morning at the Aiguille du Midi cable car in Chamonix (between 8am and 9.30am depending on the affluence and conditions).
After descending the aerial snow-edge of the Aiguille on foot with the skis on the backpack, you will go for a first descent of 2 hours to the refuge du Requin at 2516m where you can have lunch in front of an exceptional panorama. Then you will leave for the second part: the Mer de Glace! With increasingly gentle slopes, until reaching the end of the glacier where we will have the opportunity to join the Montenvers train or to extend the descent to Chamonix depending on the snow. It will take a climb of 20 minutes in both cases.
Return to Chamonix by train or ski around 3-4pm.
If the weather does not allow the descent of the Vallée Blanche we can make a day of off-piste skiing in the area of Chamonix or on wooded areas conducive to powder snow in bad weather (Les Houches, Saint Gervais, Megève ... ).
