Ski touring stay in Beaufortain Massif (Savoy)
from 320 € / p. from 1 to 6 personsInfos & Booking
Access large spaces, progress from one refuge to another, while discovering the beauty of a massif, cross a pass and discover the Italian side of Mont Blanc: here is what I propose to you through these 3 days of ski touring in the Beaufortain Massif in Savoie.
A program customized to live a time of immersion in this beautiful mountain of Beaufortain (massif located southwest of the Mont Blanc Massif) whose lighthouse "Pierra Menta" evokes the unique character of this massif.
The route will go through a guarded hut and then another onr where we will be have to cook our dinner.
This course is designed for people who already have a first experience of ski touring and a minimum physical condition, ie to be able to walk 4 to 5 hours in the mountains in the summer with a backpack.
We meet on Thursday evening at the cottage in Granier in Savoie around 7pm for the dinner, an equipment check and a good night before starting together the next day. If unable to be there the day before the appointment will be fixed at 8am the next day but you will need your own own ski touring equipment in condition, adjusted and verified.
D1: Departure for the ascent of the Col du Mont Rosset before joining the Col de Balme for a snack pause. We have the opportunity during this morning to get to know each other and to learn some technical bases for climbing uphill. We will then join the refuge of Presset, magical view point on Pierra Menta. We will be greeted by the hut keeper for a dinner in a friendly and high mountain atmosphere.
D2: It is the day of the great crossing towards the refuge of the Coire. 2 passes to cross, a beautiful wild valley and an arrival in a refuge located at the foot of the beautiful Crêt du Rey.
D3: Early, we will let slip our spatulas towards this beautiful summit of Crêt du Rey, before joining, by a valley little frequented and well oriented, a splendid and wild descent. The opportunity to receive valuable information to improve your ski in any kind of snow. End of the course around 3/4pm in Granier, which will let time for everyone to return.
During the course you will have many opportunities to contemplate the mountain and receive some technical infirmation (driving the route, track, transceiver search and more for those who wish to learn and become autonomous).
