Climbing course in the wilderness (South Vercors)
from 670 € / p. from 1 to 4 personsInfos & Booking
Let yourself be tempted by this didactic rock climbing training course to train yourself to be autonomous on long routes, while taking time to progress technically, by visiting the most beautiful sites of the region.
The objective of the weekend will be the ascent of Mont Aiguille (emblematic summit of the southern Vercors) by a historic route.
The course takes place from a bioclimatic lodge, nestled on the southern slopes of Vercors. The program is designed to provide a collective and friendly experience while visiting the magnificent sites of the Drôme and exploring the unique spots of southern Vercors (Archiane, Mont Aiguille). The end of the day is devoted to playful moments (water hiking, abseiling and via ferrata).
D1: Welcome on Sunday afternoon from 4pm at the lodge, then presentation of the course and dinner together.
You will be able to enjoy as soon as you arrive the numerous walks around the lodgr (waterfall, plateau with a view on the whole valley) or simply relax on the terrace or in the garden.
D2: Discovery of the Haut Diois on a beautiful sunny climbing site where we will be able to take stock of your level, of everyone's expectations and lay the first bases for a project of progression and achievement at the end of the week. Climbing will be easy, and we will take the opportunity to bring technical elements (belay, belay, manoeuvres).
Big rappel over the Drôme at the end of the day.
D3: Discovery of the climbing site of the gorges of Saint-Moirant at the foot of the Trois Becs, one of the greatest cliffs of the region.
Come on, it's time to start climbing two-pitch routes, to set up the first relay techniques, to try the different ways of organizing the ropes in order to be well coordinated.
At the end of the day, there is time to explore a nearby river or basins and pools where you can relax (aquatic hike).
D4: Climbing break to explore Archiane's ledge by a very aerial hiking trail in the middle of this cliff.
It's a nice way to discover the beauty of the nature reserve and to observe ibex and bearded vulture.
Return and passage by the Sapey waterfalls (fresh bathing for those who feel like it).
D5: In the morning we will go climbing in a climbing school located in the rising sun and you will do your first multi pitch route of 3 or 4 pitches.
Then after a lunch break it will be the departure for the bivouac at the foot of the Mont Aiguille, in the hollow of a small pass under the imposing objective of the next day.
D6: Early start and ascent of the Mont Aiguille (normal route or Gemeaux tour depending on the level of the group) then we descend by the tubular route and the long abseils.
Return to the lodge and friendly closing of the week with an outdoor barbecue.
