Join me for an incredible hiking circuit through the Balkan mountains!

D1: Arrival in Pristina / Skopje - Peja - Kuqishtë (Kosovo).
Meeting with your guide when you arrive in Pristina, then tranfer to the center of the capital of Kosovo, the youngest country in Europe. Panoramic tour of a vibrant and constantly changing city. Exploration of the political and economic capital of Kosovo where you will discover an architectural contrast never seen before in Europe.
Then set off for Peja, the third largest city in Kosovo and head to the Rugova Gorge to reach your guesthouse in the mountains at Kuqishtë.
D2: Hiking from Kuqisthë (Kosovo) to Babino Polie (Montenegro).
After breakfast, briefing on the week then start the hike from Kuqishtë to Babino Polie through numerous water springs and passages through the mountains.
You will enjoy breaks by the glacial lakes "Liqeni i Kuqishtës" and "Liqeni i Drelajve".
In the middle of the afternoon you will reach Montenegro and the village of Babino Polie on the border with Kosovo.
Distance: 19km, difficulty: moderate, duration: 8h.
Positive difference in altitude: 1150m, negative diffrence in altitude: 1100m, maximum altitude: 2276m.
D3: Hiking from Babino Polie to Plav, then transfer to Vusanje (Montenegro).
After breakfast, you will start the hike in the direction of Plav.
You will reach Lake Hrid which is one of the highest points of the day, then enjoy free time to swim and relax by the lake.
The hike then arrives at the sublime Lake Plav, again with free time to swim or relax by the lake.
Transfer by vehicle to Vusanje, a valley in the heart of the mountains.
Distance: 20km, difficulty: moderate, duration: 7h30.
D+: 600m, D-: 1100m, maximum altitude: 2046m.
D4: Hiking from Vusanje (Montenegro) to Theth (Albania).
After breakfast, transfer by car to Lake Jerzerce then start the hike in the direction of Theth.
You will cross magnificent landscapes and in particular the Grlja waterfall on the Montenegrin side and the glacial lake of Jezerce passing on the Albanian side.
You will stop at the natural source of the blue eye "Syri i Kaltër", an underground cave 9 meters deep.
At the end of the afternoon, you will arrive in Theth, an intact and uninhabited village in the heart of the valley.
You will then taste a meal mainly composed of local products (cheeses, meats, vegetables).
Distance: 20km, difficulty: moderate, duration: 8h.
D+: 1100m, D-: 1500m.
D5: Hike to the Blue Eye (Albania).
Breakfast at the inn and jeep ride for an hour, then hike to the Blue Eye, an incredible natural water spring and a heavenly place where you can rest and bathe in clear, limpid water.
Lunch, free time, then return to your guest house.
Difficulty: easy, duration of the walk: 2h (round trip).
D6: Hiking from Theth to Valbona, (Albania), then transfer to Prizren (Kosovo).
Breakfast in Theth, then start of the hike for Valbona.
Day trekking through sumptuous landscapes in the Albanian mountains. You can relax during the hike in small cafes nestled in the heart of the mountains.
In the middle of the day, you will reach Valbona Pass, which is the highest point of this day, to admire the incredible landscape of the two slopes of the mountain.
You will enjoy a cold drink to celebrate the end of the trekking tour and then return to Kosovo to reach Prizren, the country's cultural and historical capital. Surrounded by mountainous landscapes, you will discover the old Ottoman center of the city where the Lumbardhi River passes.
Distance: 18km, difficulty: moderate, duration: 7h.
D+: 1100m, D-: 700m, maximum altitude: 1806m.
D7: Visit of Prizren - Pristina (Kosovo).
After breakfast, visit of Prizren and discovery of a city with well-preserved Ottoman architecture with its many historic monuments.
Its cobbled streets and tea rooms in the old bazaar give Prizren a unique Ottoman charm. You will visit the Mosque of Sinan Pasha as well as the Albanian League of Prizren, the first league for the defense of Albanian rights established at the end of the XIXth century.
Free time to go to the Prizren fortress for a breathtaking view of the city.
You then leave for Pristina for your last night in the Balkans.
Dinner in Pristina and then you will enjoy your last evening to discover the very dynamic nightlife of Pristina.
D8: Flight back to Paris.
After breakfast, free time until your transfer to Pristina for your return flight.
Total distance of the trek: 78 kilometers over 5 days.
IMPORTANT: Your suitcase will be transferred on day 2 to Vusanje then it will be transported to your hotel in Prizren on day 6 so as not to overload your bag during the hike.
