Description

This course is designed to start mountaineering in a friendly small group atmosphere where living it together is fully part of the proposal. It takes place around Chamonix, in the Mont Blanc Massif.

The 3-day formula includes a first day to tackle the evolution on snow-covered terrain by doing an outing in the Aiguilles Rouges, then 2 days with a night in a refuge to enter the world of glaciers (crampons, roping and discovering the keys to move safely in this glacial environment).

Program

D1: Exploration of the Aiguilles Rouges.
Early meeting in the morning in the Chamonix valley then we take the cable car up to the Aiguilles Rouges massif.
The day is dedicated to exercises on snow and to a hike to discover the high altitude passes and lake. This allows us to get to know each other before returning to the valley.
Night at the campsite and time to share around a meal prepared together.

D2 : Approach walk to Albert 1er refuge.
Exercises on ice school on the magnificent Tour glacier in the afternoon (roping, progression with crampons, technical keys of evolution).

D3 : Ascent of a summit in altitude (Tête Blanche, les Fourches, Aiguille du Tour).
Back down in the valley for mid afternoon.
