Introduction to mountaineering (Mont-Blanc massif)
from 310 € / p. from 3 to 6 personsInfos & Booking
This course is designed to start mountaineering in a friendly small group atmosphere where living it together is fully part of the proposal. It takes place around Chamonix in Haute-Savoie, in the Mont-Blanc massif.
The 3-day formula includes a first day to tackle the evolution on snow-covered ground by doing an outing in the Aiguilles Rouges, then 2 days with a night in a refuge to enter the world of high mountains and glaciers (to use crampons, to rope up and discover the keys to move safely in this glacial environment).
D1: Exploration of the Aiguilles Rouges.
Appointment early in the morning in the Chamonix valley before taking the cable car up to the Aiguilles Rouges massif.
The day is dedicated to practice exercises on snow and to a hike to discover the high altitude passes and lakes. This allows us to get to know each other and learn the first snow safety techniques before returning to the valley.
Night at the campsite and time to share around a dinner prepared all together.
D2 : Climb to Albert 1er refuge.
Ice school exercises on the magnificent Tour glacier in the afternoon (themes covered: roping, progression with crampons, technical keys of evolution).
D3 : Ascent of a summit in altitude (Tête Blanche, Petite Fourche, Aiguille du Tour).
Back down in the valley for mid afternoon.
