Are you ready to slow down and explore nature in quiet, uncrowded places? Yes? Then keep on reading:

The mountains surrounding the Chamonix valley in Haute-Savoie offer some of the most spectacular scenery in Europe. Imposing granit peaks, several glaciers, vast open high alpine pastures with wild flowers and mountain peaks within walking distance. Always in sight, is the gigantic Mont Blanc (4810m), looming in the background.

There is no better way to experience these wonders of nature than to be out in the wild enjoying the glorious alpine sunrises and sunsets. Our mountain camping trips allows you to do this and you will love it!

Wild camping is essentially camping outside of campsites and is all about getting away from the bustling alpine towns and taking yourself away into the mountain wilderness to spend time truly alone with the world.

D1: Cascade de Bérard and Tré-les-Eaux valley.
You discover a very wild and untouched valley today. Our hike starts at the Buet train station in Vallorcine. After less than one hour we can already see the Bérard waterfalls and the water pools in the river bead. Changing directions here we now go up the Tré-les-Eaux valley that leads us of the bottom of a small glacier that remained in the shades of Buet mountain. Many small green fields filled with flowers, big boulder rocks and creeks invite us to set our tents for tonight.
Altitude differences: +1020m, –170m, duration: 4h.

D2: Col de la Terrasse and Alpage de Loriaz.
After a good breakfast we pack up the tents and walk up to a high plateau where Lac Vert is nestled (a crystal clear mountain lake). Then we climb to the Col de la Terrasse with splendide views over the whole Mont-Blanc massif and the Swiss Valais.
After our picnic we walk down on a steep trail to the green alpine pastures of Alpage de Loriaz. This is an inviting place for a rest, before heading back down to Le Buet.
Altitude differences : +500m, –1300m, 5h.

Meeting point: We meet at Le Buet train station near the village of Vallorcine up in the valley from Chamonix. The tour ends there as well. Take the train from Chamonix or Martigny.
