Description
For this weekend dedicated to mushroom picking in the Vercors massif, I will find the best for you! On the program: trumpets, chanterelles and a host of other species.
I will take you into the forest to discover some good spots, and you'll get there blindfolded... I'm kidding 😉.
Then, you will learn how to sort and clean the treasures taken from Mother Nature over a nice glass of wine.
If you are interested in this theme, I also propose other outings related to nature and gastronomy:
- a mushroom and gastronomy stay in the Vercors,
- a day of hiking and mushroom picking,
- a discovery of the mushrooms of the Vercors,
- and the picking and tasting of edible plants.
Program
D0 (Friday): Welcome in Villard-de-Lans.
Arrival at the guesthouse "La Moraine" around 8pm.
Welcome and dinner in a restaurant in Corrençon-en-Vercors or in Villard-de-Lans according to availability.
D1 (Saturday): Mushroom picking, cleaning and tasting.
Breakfast at the lodge at 8.30am.
Departure in the woods at 9.30am.
You will learn to recognize and pick with respect the death's trumpets, chanterelles, sheep's feet, oyster mushrooms and other coulemelles...
Country picnic at noon.
Return to the guesthouse around 3.30pm.
4.30pm: Sorting, cleaning and determination of the picking.
7pm: Wine tasting.
8pm: Gustativo-mycological festival around the theme of the day and with a good bottle of wine.
D2 (Sunday): Free time to discover the Vercors.
Breakfast at the lodge from 8am.
Provision of a packed lunch for picnic lunch and free time to discover the Vercors massif.
End of the weekend and dispersal of the group at 4.30 pm.
The price includes
- Supervision by the mountain leader.
- 2 nights at the guest house "La Moraine" in Villard-de-Lans.
- 2 breakfasts at the lodge.
- 2 dinners in a restaurant of the Vercors plateau.
- Saturday's picnic.
- Sunday lunch basket.
- Wine tasting.
The price does not include
- Transport to and from Villard-de-Lans, 45 minutes drive from Grenoble and one hour and fifteen minutes from Valence.
- Shuttles during the weekend.
- Drinks other than those included in the program.
- Anything not mentioned in "The price includes".
