Description
I propose a fondue under the stars or the full moon after a short snowshoe hike in the heart of Savoie's Maurienne valley.
In the heart of the mountains, in a nice spot away from the family-friendly resort of Albiez-Montrond, we'll take a long gourmet break with mulled wine and hot apple juice as an aperitif, before the scent of Beaufort fondue fills the air.
You'll enjoy a pleasant day or evening away from the usual, in the friendly atmosphere of a small group.
The hike starts closer to your accommodation.
The hike is suitable for children aged 5 and over.
If you're looking for other great outings in the valley, I also offer snowshoe treks in the Maurienne forests or at the foot of the Aiguilles d'Arves, as well as ANENA avalanche rescue courses.
Program
- 7 or 11pm: Meet up with your snowshoes and hiking poles, and departure for a short snowshoe hike at night or in the sunshine.
- 7.45 or 11.45pm: Aperitif and fondue tasting.
- 9pm or 1pm: Little mountain culinary surprise enjoyed by all.
- Around 10pm or 2pm: Return to the meeting point and end of the hike.
- If you don't have snowshoes and hiking poles, the stores at Albiez-Montrond can rent them for half a day. Call me for more info.
- By default, fondues are held on Tuesday evenings, but all days of the week are possible if they are still available. Please do not hesitate to contact me for further information.
The price includes
- Supervision by the mountain guide, Savoie Mont Blanc heritage guide and referent for the Savoie cheese route.
- Beaufort aperitif and fondue.

The price does not include
- Transport to and from the meeting point in Albiez-Montrond, about one hour drive from Chambéry or Albertville.
- Snowshoes and hiking poles.
- Your hiking gear, including warm clothing from head to toe.
- Anything not mentioned in "The price includes".
