Col de Mia, from la Giettaz in Haute-Savoie. Départ from Parking du Plan de la Giettaz.
Climbed up approximately 1100m in perfect weather, admiring splendid scenery as well as covering quite a distance. Got to the top, amazing views over the Majestic Mont Blanc.
Coming down, Didier found some good power snow most of the way. The final 30 minutes added fun and humour amongst the group, with crossing of streams 4 times, but thanks to a great solidarity we crossed with big miles.
A good beer in the local café finished the day perfectly. Thank you Didier.
Ski touring days with Didier are unusual, full of excitment and fun, challenging but always manageable. Didier will give you the confidence you need and will adjust to your level to take you to the top of the mountains to admire spectacular views and to come down in carefully selected snow.
His groups are always so friendly and helpful.
