Hiking and fondue in the mountain pastures of Maurienne

Description

I invite you to come and experience a real moment in a Maurienne mountain pasture at an altitude of 2000 meters, at the foot of the majestic Aiguilles d'Arves.

The mountain air, water, flowers, cows and their bells create a soothing atmosphere that enhances all the flavors of Beaufort cheese fondue. Your taste buds are sure to remember!

A short walk, suitable for children and the whole family, takes you to a place with a magnificent panorama. The hike is also an opportunity to learn about mountain agriculture, flora and herbs, and to get a feel for the landscape shaped by man. The traditional principles of agropastoralism, a living heritage, are still relevant today, and enable Beaufort cheese to be made using innovative techniques. We'll be tasting this treasure of the Alps in a fondue with Savoy white wine.

The environment, the cowbells and bells, the torrents, the pure air, the space and the silence are all conducive to letting go, allowing you to escape and appreciate the fine flavors of fondue at altitude.

For gourmets, I also offer gourmet and heritage walks in the Maurienne mountain pastures in summer, as well as Beaufort tasting walks in the Albiez mountain pastures (also available in winter and spring with this gourmet walk and milking visit in Albiez).

Program

• Meet at 11am, Place Opinel in Albiez-Montrond (73300), about an hour's drive from Chambéry or Albertville.
• Departure with your vehicle to get closer to the starting point of the hike.
• Arrival at noon in a nice place where I prepare the fondue while you enjoy fruit juice, white wine or hot red wine, depending on the temperature.
  Fondue tasting.
• If you don't wish to consume alcohol, I'll make you an alcohol-free fondue. I've already made a non-alcoholic fondue for the same group (it's excellent), followed by a fondue with white wine.
• 1.30pm: A dessert and a mountain herbal tea round off the meal.
• Return at 2pm.
• Times can be adapted.

The price does not include

• Transport to and from the meeting point in Albiez-Montrond.
• Your personal hiking equipment (shoes with rampons, sneakers or hiking boots, walking sticks according to your habit, suitable clothing, windbreaker, fleece, sunglasses).
• A bottle of water (½ liter minimum).
• Anything not mentioned in "The price includes".
