Description

The Mohare Danda trekking is a short and beautiful trek that offers marvelous mountain views and an immersive cultural experience. Situated just to the south of the famous Poon Hill (3210m), this 5-day route is an off-the-beaten-path trek providing an intimate encounter with the local culture and nature.

The Mohare Danda trekking starts from Galeshwor, a small town on the bank of the Kali Gandaki river and 4-hour drive from Pokhara. The trail then climbs up to Banskharka, a beautiful Magar village with a huge orange plantation. From there, it heads up to Nangi, then to Mohare Danda (3313m), a vantage point, and finally ends at Hille which is 3 hour's drive from Pokhara.

During the trek, you will walk through the beautiful pine and rhododendron forests and pass through quiet and lively villages. The stunning view of mountain ranges especially the sunset and the sunrise view over the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges from the Mohare Danda is surreal. One of the best things about this route is the very low number of trekkers which makes it a perfect alternative to the busy Poon Hill trekking. The trek allows visitors to interact with the locals and experience the local way of living.;

Our 5-day Mohare Danda trek can be customized as per your preferences, budget, time frame, etc. Please contact me and I will help you to create the right itinerary for you.

If you fancy more challenging treks in Nepal, you can follow me on the trails to Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar, Kanchenjunga Base Camp, around Manaslu or the Annapurna High Route.
