Multi-pitch climbing in the Vercors massif

Description

Do you already climb, but want to try your hand at the multi pitch routes adventure? Or do you already know the multi pitch climbing, but want to improve your skills to become autonomous? Or perhaps you want to fulfill your dream and climb a challenging route that is close to your heart? So this outing is for you!

I will take you with me to the cliffs of the Vercors massif to share with you my expertise in multi pitch climbing. The aim is either to guide you during the climb, or to teach you the techniques that will enable you to progress in your climbing (setting up an anchor, equipment management, going down in case of problem, etc.).

We will go for a half-day or a full day, depending on the route we choose. This choice will be made according to your level, your desires, etc. The possibilities are numerous in this mountain range and we will have the opportunity to explore the following cliffs for example:

• Presles: World-renowned, this is the multi-pitch climbing area of ​​the southern Vercors. Hundreds of routes, starting from grade 6 and up to 300 meters high, await you on magnificent limestone rock.
• Les 3 Pucelles: Overlooking the Grenoble metropolitan area, these three spectacular peaks offer several multi-pitch routes of all levels. The atmosphere is very special, and the views of the surrounding area are unforgettable.
• Omblèze: Located not far from Valence on the foothills of the Vercors, this crag, very fashionable in the 1990s, has many advantages. It is possible to climb in the shade even in the middle of summer.
• Le Rocher de Gonson: Recently equipped, this crag near Méaudre offers several attractive routes accessible by rappelling.
• Archiane: Since the 1960s, climbers have been establishing routes on these magnificent cliffs, some reaching up to 400 meters in height. Bolted routes and trad climbing coexist in an exceptional environment.
• Etc.

So get ready to surpass yourselves and experience a great cliff adventure!

Program

• Meet at the parking lot defined according to the route chosen.
• Equipment preparation.
• Approach walk of 10 to 40 minutes, depending on the cliff.
• Abseiling if necessary.
• Ascent of pitches with the instructor assistance and technical advice.
• Descent on foot or by abseiling.
• Return to the parking lot.
