Description

Join me for a day's full descent of Coiserette canyon, the pearl of the Upper Jura! You will discover a wild and aquatic course, punctuated by a picnic in the heart of the gorges, accessible to people aged 16 and over.

The Coiserette canyon, near the city of Saint-Claude in the Jura, is considered the most aesthetically pleasing in the region, dominated by cliffs up to 40 meters high and passages as narrow as 80 centimeters. Sculpted by the Tacon river, it offers a striking backdrop of waterfalls and deep, limpid pools, reworked every year by spectacular floods.

I propose a full-day descent of the canyon (parts I, II and III), allowing you to explore all three sections. After a morning punctuated by abseils, jumps and natural slides, you will have a friendly picnic break in the heart of the gorge, where you can enjoy a meal in the middle of nature, before continuing the adventure in the afternoon in the more aquatic parts of the canyon.

This option is reserved for people aged 16 and over who are physically fit and comfortable in the water (swimming is of course mandatory). The itinerary is challenging, but accessible to anyone with a thirst for thrills and an appreciation of wilderness.
As on all the canyoning trips I supervise, you will have the choice of whether or not to jump, in the knowledge that an alternative is always possible. In addition to all the equipment you will need for the activity (neoprene wetsuit, helmet, harness, lanyards, descenders, etc.), watertight canisters will enable you to enjoy your lunch (not provided) by the river.

The Coiserette canyon is a real gem in the Jura mountains. In a grandiose setting, this one-day canyoning trip is an unforgettable experience combining discovery, challenging oneself and pleasure shared with friends or family.
