Infos & BookingDescription
I invite you to join me on a trip to explore the Fort Queyras via ferrata and the Guil gorges, climbing above the river on a beautiful route suitable for everyone. We will also climb beneath Fort Queyras, a Vauban site and one of the most beautiful fortified castles in the Hautes-Alpes department.
This itinerary is the perfect opportunity to discover the basics of via ferrata with family or friends. Throughout the route, I will be at your side, available to advise and assist you on the various passages. The length can be adjusted according to each person's abilities, as it is possible to exit before the end.
After equipping ourselves with the specific gear, a short approach walk will take us to the start of the via ferrata, where I will brief you on the techniques and safety precautions. Then it's off on an adventure along this route, which begins with a descent before a long traverse that becomes increasingly steep. We will often find ourselves on the left bank of the Guil, about ten meters above the more or less turbulent waters of the torrent. After passing an escape route that would be a shame to follow, the via ferrata continues and crosses a few short monkey and Nepalese bridges (about 30 meters long). It also becomes a little steeper and more athletic, before rejoining the road that takes you back to the car park in about ten minutes.
This via ferrata takes place in an exceptional environment, between the river and the castle, not to mention the views of the Queyras mountains towering above us.
If you would like to join me for other vertical adventures in the region, you can follow me on:

- and the Horloge via ferrata in L'Argentière-la-Bessée.
