Rocher du Bez via ferrata (Serre Chevalier)

Description

I invite you to join me on a tour of the beautiful Rocher du Bez via ferrata, located in the Serre Chevalier resort in the heart of the Hautes-Alpes department.

This route is the perfect opportunity to discover the basics of via ferrata with family or friends. Throughout the route, I will be at your side, available to advise and assist you on the various passages. The length can be adjusted to suit each person's abilities, as it is possible to exit before the end.

After getting kitted out with the specific equipment, a 15-minute walk will take us to the start of the via ferrata, where I will brief you on the techniques and safety procedures. We will then begin the ascent of the Bez rock via a series of ladders on the rock face and suspended crossings that will take us to the summit. Although the start is a little steep, it is perfect for beginners and children. After an unusual passage through a tunnel and a well-deserved break, we will descend via another via ferrata route of the same level, with breathtaking views of the valley. The first part of this descent is a little daunting and vertiginous, and will leave you with some lasting memories!

Throughout this route at the foot of the Écrins massif, you will enjoy magnificent panoramic views of the Guisane below and the Cerces massif mountains opposite you.

Program

• Meet at the via ferrata parking lot in La Salle-les-Alpes.
• We will get kitted out with the equipment together at the car park.
• 15-minute walk to reach the start of the via.
• Briefing.
• 1 to 2 hours climbing the via ferrata.
• Return to the parking lot via a short walk of around 10 minutes.

The price includes

• Supervision by the climbing instructor.
• Loan of the equipment needed for the activity: harness, helmet, via ferrata lanyard with energy absorber.

The price does not include

• Return transport to the village of La Salle-les-Alpes, 15 minutes drive from Briançon.
• Snacks.
