Freetour skiing day in Haute-Savoie (val Montjoie, Mont-Blanc)

Description

I invite you to join me for a wonderful day discovering freetour skiing around Mont Joly in the Mont Blanc massif.

Depending on weather and snow conditions, we will set off in small groups to ride the most beautiful slopes between the resorts of Les Contamines-Montjoie, Saint-Gervais, and Megève.

After short sections of hiking with your skis on your back, you will have the opportunity to explore wild off-piste terrain offering superb views of the Aravis and Mont-Blanc massifs and their nearby peaks such as Pointe Percée, the Dômes de Miage, the Aiguille de Bionnassay, the Dôme du Goûter and, of course, Mont Blanc itself.

Program

Here is an example of a program:

• Meet in the morning at the Bettex gondola parking lot in Saint-Gervais, about an hour's drive from Chamonix, Geneva, or Annecy.
• Ski lifts and crossing of Mont Joly, then descent to Les Contamines-Montjoie.
• Ski lifts to Aiguille Croche, then descent to Megève.
• Ski back to Saint-Gervais.

The location is chosen the day before the outing, depending on snow and weather conditions.

Area covered: Les Contamines-Montjoie, Saint-Gervais, Megève, and also Chamonix, Argentière...

The price includes

• Supervision by the mountain guide.
• Return transport to the departure station.
• Loan of safety equipment (avalanche beacon, shovel, probe).

The price does not include

• Return transport to the meeting point.
• Ski lift pass.
• Airbag backpack.
• Meal or picnic.
• Snacks.
• Drinks.
• Anything not mentioned in "The price includes".
