Multi-pitch climbing in the Swiss Jura

I invite you to join me on a multi-pitch climb and discover the highest walls of the Swiss Jura above the "most baroque city in Switzerland": Solothurn. This outing will also be an opportunity to enjoy magnificent views of the Swiss plateau as well as the high peaks and glaciers of the Bernese Oberland.

Would you like to try your hand at multi-pitch routes of moderate to medium difficulty? Climb on the excellent limestone of the Swiss Jura? Be guided at a leisurely pace or work on your independence on this type of route? This day is also an opportunity to adapt to your desires and needs.

Several options are available on the summits of Balmflue, Sommêtres, Mont Raineux, or Brüggligrat. The choice will be made based on conditions, your desires, and your level. The various possibilities offered ensure that you will find the formula that suits you best.

If you are looking for other vertical adventures in the region, you can also join me for climbing the Spitzkoepfe ridge in the Hohneck massif or for an introduction to multi-pitch climbing in the Vosges mountains. In winter, you can try ice climbing in the Vosges or winter mountaineering at Hohneck.

Program

• Meet up, introduction, then departure for the hike from the parking lot around 9 a.m.
• Several routes are possible depending on the level of the rope team:
  • Balmflue: south face (6a), south ridge (5c), pillars (5/6) and a few others,
  • the Sommêtres ridge,
  • the Raimeux ridge,
  • the Edelgrat at Brüggligräte,
  • etc.
• The walls offer heights of up to 450 meters with plenty of rest stops on the various ledges. So we will have the pleasure of climbing but also of exploring a breathtaking landscape.
• Then, once at the summit, after a last look at the whole of northern Switzerland, we will begin the descent on foot to return to the parking lot.

The price includes

• Supervision by the mountain guide.
• Loan of equipment necessary for the activity (for 2 rope teams): harness, helmet, rope, etc.
