Description

I offer snowshoeing stays in the heart of the Hautes-Alpes department, exploring the Champsaur valley.

In addition to the fun aspect of these outings, this snowshoeing trip will put you on the path to independence. You will learn how to make the right choices in terms of route planning and safety (you will see how to use an avalanche beacon). You will also enjoy magnificent landscapes under the Hautes-Alpes sun as you stroll at your own pace!

Program

D1: Arrival at the lodge and preparations.
Welcome in Gap from 4pm,.
Presentation and adjustment of equipment.

D2: Snowshoe hike near Serre Eyraud and exploration of the forest.
Head to the Champsaur valley in the Hautes-Alpes for a relaxing day in the forest. Slow climb to the alpine huts, then a short walk to explore the top of the valley and the snow-covered north faces.
This warm-up day is dedicated to discovering the activity and the valley, choosing and adjusting equipment, taking everyone's expectations into account, and learning about safety (demonstration of the avalanche beacon).
Return to the lodge around 4pm.

D3: Wildlife outing in the Champoléon valley.
Snowshoeing is not just an end in itself, it will also allow us to go to the Champoléon valley to observe chamois and ibex with binoculars and a telescope.
Snack on site then return to the lodge around 4pm.

D4: Snowshoe outing to Réallon.
During this day, we will enjoy a picnic with a breathtaking view of the Aiguilles de Chabrières and Lake Serre-Ponçon.
Return to the lodge around 4pm.

D5: Snowshoe outing to discover the hidden lakes of Orcières.
We will have a snack near Le Paravar with a magnificent view of the Prapic valley.
Return to the lodge around 4pm.

D6: End of the trip.
Departure from the lodge at 10am.

The price includes

• Supervision by the mountain leader.
• Accommodation at La Radiaire lodge in Gap in a double room (5 nights).
• Evening meals from Day 1 dinner to Day 6 breakfast (dinners, breakfasts, and picnics).
• Loan of snowshoes, hiking poles, avalanche beacon, shovel, and probe.
• Minibus transfers during the trip.
• Logistical organization of the trip.

The price does not include

• Return transport to the meeting point in Gap.
• Personal expenses (drinks or other purchases).
• Cancellation insurance (optional).
