Infos & BookingDescription
Come and join me on this 4-day course in the Tarn and Jonte Gorges, for climbers who want to do the transition from indoor to outdoor climbing.
If you already lead climb indoors and you wish to learn tools and techniques to safely transition to climbing outdoors then this course is for you.
Starting to climb outside can be intimidating. There are way more safety aspects and techniques to consider and learn, the bolts are further apart, we have to learn how to read and understand the rock, and in addition climbing on rock requires movement techniques which differ from indoor climbing.
This course aims to give you knowledge, guidance and confidence. We will be looking at risk assessment and management, belay techniques, anchor threading, route reading and movement techniques.
The course will take place close to the town of Millau in Averyon, in the Gorges du Tarn, Jonte and/or Dourbie. The exact choice of crag will depend on number and experience of participants as well as weather and will be communicated a few days ahead of the course.
The price is 360€ per person for the 4-day course.
In case the proposed dates do not suit you please feel free to contact me to inquire about the possibility for alternative dates.
I also offer other introductory courses on the Alexander Technique in climbing and on managing the fear of falling while climbing in the Tarn and Jonte gorges.
