Caving in the Resurrection cave (Hautes-Alpes)

Description

I propose you to discover caving in the unspoilt natural environment of the Gorges d'Agnielles and explore the Grotte de la Résurrection, located near the village of La Faurie, a 40-minute drive from Gap and 15 minutes from Veynes.

Situated in the Buëch valley, in the heart of the Hautes-Alpes département, this family-friendly underground trail makes it easy to discover caving with the kids. This half-day adventure, accessible from the age of 6, is the perfect opportunity to learn caving in a spectacular environment. It offers a playful route dotted with stalactites and stalagmites.

During our exploration, we will take the time to make successive stops that will give you a better understanding of the different aspects of the underground world without the use of rope techniques. Progression does not require the use of rope techniques.

The activity lasts around 3 hours and can be completed by people who have never caving before. You must be at least 6 years old and be able to swim. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any medical problems.

Program

• Departure: Morning or early afternoon, for a 3-hour activity.
• Meeting point: Parking lot at the gorges d'Agnielles climbing site.
• 10-minute approach walk.
• 2 hours 30 minutes to 3 hours underground.
• 10-minute return walk to the parking lot.

The price includes

• Supervision by the caving instructor.
• All the technical equipment you need for caving: over-suit, neoprene socks, helmet with light, knee pads and gloves. You will also have suitable bags with watertight containers to carry your clothes and water bottles.

The price does not include

• Return transport to the Agnielles gorges parking lot.
• Sneakers or mountain boots (shoes in good condition that fit well).
• Comfortable, soft clothes that can get dirty (tracksuit, leggings and fleece, etc.).
• At least 1 liter of water (plastic bottle) for 2 people.
• Snacks.
• A lanyard if you wear glasses.
• An elastic band to tie back long hair.
• Anything not mentioned in "The price includes".
