Tree climbing in Puycelsi (Tarn)

Description

I invite you to (re)discover the joy of climbing trees together!

This activity is open to everyone from ages 6 to adult, with fun workshops at ground level and the option to climb pine trees up to almost 20 meters high.

Ideal for families or friends, this tree climbing session takes place in Puycelsi in the Tarn department, halfway between the cities of Montauban and Gaillac, and more precisely in the heart of the Grésigne forest.

The activity is similar to classic climbing (such as on cliffs or in a gym) but in trees, and therefore secured by a rope and a partner.

Young children and beginners who are intimidated by the height can, after the preparatory workshops, climb 2 or 3 meters and decide to come back down, then try again a little higher, at their own pace and always with the pleasure of discovery. More experienced climbers or those who are already familiar with the activity can choose more difficult climbs and/or try "rope climbing", a technique used in particular by arborists when the tree does not have enough branches to climb (accessible from age 6).

Equipment to bring: lightweight sneakers that fit well, loose-fitting clothing suitable for the weather. You can also bring a small backpack with water. All equipment specific to the activity is provided.

I also offer this activity on request at any site with attractive trees. The installation and safety and progression techniques depend on the trees and the projects: lifeline as in tree climbing or classic belaying as in rock climbing, "rope climbing" as in caving. Giant swings, rope bridges, and zip lines are possible (using buildings if necessary).

Increasing levels of difficulty can be offered so that everyone can go at their own pace and experience their own thrills.

Tree climbing is also an opportunity to discover your natural environment from a different perspective.

Program

• Meet in Puycelsi, about a 50-minute drive from Montauban or Albi.
• Approximately 3 hours of tree climbing.

The price includes

• Supervision by the climbing instructor.
• Loan of the equipment needed for the activity: harness, helmet, ropes, belay device, etc. (the equipment and techniques used comply with current standards and ensure safe practice).

The price does not include

• Return transport to Puycelsi.
