Infos & BookingDescription
Rising to an altitude of 4,807 meters, Mont Blanc, the highest peak in the Alps and Western Europe, is the dream destination for all mountain lovers. I invite you to join me on an unforgettable adventure and climb this legendary peak together.
The departure point is at the Nid d'Aigle, accessible by the Bellevue cable car and then the Mont-Blanc tramway. An easy trail leads to the Tête Rousse hut, before the more technical climb to the Goûter hut, with sections of rock climbing equipped with cables. The route then continues across the glacier to the Vallot shelter, then via the Bosses ridge, the last stage before reaching the summit. The descent follows the same route.
In order to train and acclimatize yourself to the altitude as best as possible, I advise you to first climb the Pelvoux in the Écrins massif or even a first summit of more than 4000 meters, such as the Gran Paradiso or Monte Rosa in Italy.
Would you like to climb alone or with a partner? In 2 or 3 days? The price is adjusted according to your preferences.
You can also follow me for other mountaineering outings in the Alps or the Pyrenees or for a great objective such as the traverse of the Meije in the Écrins.
Program
Day 1: Chamonix - Tête Rousse hut.
Meet early in the morning at the Bellevue cable car in Les Houches or at the Mont-Blanc tramway station in Saint-Gervais. The tramway takes us to the Nid d'Aigle, at an altitude of 2,380 meters.
From the terminus, we begin our hike on a technically easy trail leading to the Tête Rousse refuge, located at an altitude of 3,167 meters. This first day allows us to gradually warm up and acclimatize to the altitude.
- Hiking time: approximately 3 hours.
- Elevation gain: 800 meters.
- Accommodation: Tête Rousse hut.
Day 2: Tête Rousse hut - summit of Mont Blanc - Goûter hut.
After a very early start at around 3 a.m., we begin the final ascent of Mont Blanc. The climb, which takes about 8 hours, takes us successively to the Aiguille du Goûter, the Dôme du Goûter, then along the Bosses ridge to the summit of Mont Blanc. Once at the summit, we take full advantage of the exceptional panorama before beginning the descent to the Goûter refuge.
This intense day ends with a well-deserved moment of relaxation, a nice aperitif, and finally a good night's sleep!
- Total duration: approximately 11 hours.
- Elevation gain: 1,630 meters.
- Elevation loss: 1,000 meters.
- Accommodation: Goûter hut.
Day 3: Goûter hut - return to Chamonix.
After breakfast at the Goûter hut, we have two options: either descend back down into the valley via the same route we took on the way up, or climb Mont Blanc if conditions the previous day did not allow it.
The trip ends with a convivial moment over a drink, sharing our impressions and celebrating this high-mountain experience.
