Description

In partnership with the Monastery of Sainte-Croix, I offer you a unique hiking stay in the Diois!

On the program of this weekend taking place in the south of the Vercors massif: hikes, sublime and varied, that I will adapt to the level of the group. There will be something for everyone: discovery of the culinary heritage of Drôme, tasting in the vineyards where grow the grapes for the famous Clairette de Die, discovery of the mysterious forest of Saou where the secret assemblies of Protestants were held, stroll on the traces of the Resistants of Vercors...

If you would like to continue discovering the region, I also offer:

Program

Hikes to be chosen from the list below:

  • The Huguenots in Saou Forest and the Three Becs.
In the heart of the forest of Saou met the Protestants. There stood the assemblies of the Desert. Let's dive into this era in search of the remains of the passage of the Huguenots on the territory of Diois. This superb hike in the heart of the Trois Becs massif, synclinal perched adored by geologists, ends with the gourmet meeting of artisan brewers in the village of Saou.
40 minutes transfer by minibus to reach the start of the hike.
  • Naturalistic excursion in the landscapes of the Vercors Nature Reserve.
Place of transhumance passage in the Vercors, the Rousset pass is a gateway to the vast wilderness of the highlands. I accompany you in magical places, with a breathtaking view of this desert and preserved massif. In all discretion, you could see the vultures and eagles nesting in the cliffs, but also the chamois and ibex who enjoy the tranquility of the place. Between beech forest, alpine lawns and ridges, you will be amazed by these mountain landscapes.
40 minutes transfer by minibus to join the start of the hike.

  • Wine trail and wine tasting in Quint Valley.
From the monastery of Saint Croix, explore the surroundings for a day in the heart of the valley of Quint. You go up and join a nearby valley where producers of Clairette work biodynamically in respect of the cycles of nature and offer us a tasting. You then walk in the footsteps of the goats to join the producer of picodon, a little cheese that "sticks to the teeth".
  • Secret waterfalls and Gervanne off the beaten track.
The gorges of Omblèze are an unusual treasure of our beautiful country. From there, you can go to the Druise waterfalls and swim there. Let's sneak into a real wild jungle and evolve in the canyon of the hells whose mineral walls are the story of hundreds of years of calm and isolation. A beautiful walk, a jewel you will not forget!
45 minutes transfer by minibus to join the start of the hike.
  • Resistance in Vercors and peaks of Font d'Urle.
Here, you can climb on gentle peaks, in mountain pastures and overhang the Drôme valley. The Vercors is under your feet. A stop in Vassieux-en-Vercors is an opportunity to remind our memories of the history and stories of Resistance in these lands that saw the blood of the children of the country. A visit to the Museum of the Resistance, very well documented, is possible.
45 minutes transfer by minibus to join the start of the hike.
