Description
Come test dog sled driving in Vassieux, in Vercors Massif!
After getting to know the dogs on the spot, I will present you the history of the different breeds of sled dogs.
Then you will learn how to put the harness on the dogs, then it will be the turn of the pedagogy related to the driving of a sled.
Finally it will be time for departure, and you will progress on the handlebars of your sled pulled to 3 or 4 dogs.
Around noon (depending on the weather), we organize the midday bivouac to be sheltered in an unguarded mountain refuge, or outdoor comfortably installed on the skin of reindeer. Everyone takes their meals from the bag (not supplied, or with supplement) while the dogs are resting.
After this well-deserved break, second start: we continue our progression and each one evolves at his own pace. Around 4.30pm return to the stake-out to unhitch the dogs and remove the harnesses.
To finish it will be necessary to think of the hydration of the dogs, the necessary caresses and photos memories without forgetting the storage of the material.
