Night on a cliff in the Hautes-Alpes or Verdon

Description

I propose you to live a very unique and particular experience by coming to spend an incredible and unforgettable night, suspended on a cliff under the starry sky of the Hautes-Alpes department or in the Verdon gorges!

After the ascent of a climbing route or a vertiginous hike, we will stop on a comfortable ledge to spend the evening and have dinner far above the ground.

Then you will settle down on your two-seater portalegde* for a night out of the ordinary, before enjoying a hot coffee in the morning, in front of the sunrise, with your feet in the air!

Depending on your wishes and location, I will propose you several places where this activity can take place: one cliff in the Hautes-Alpes department, or the mythical and spectacular Verdon Gorges, a little further South.

If you feel like other vertical aventures in the Hautes-Alpes department, why not follow me in the via ferrata of the gorges of Ailefroide in Pelvoux or an introductory and autonomy climbing course in the Haut Val Durance?

* The portaledge is a folding and very comfortable platform for bivouac that climbers use during long climbs lasting several days. Comfortable, flat, light, this is a hotel where you cannot count the stars. During the night, you will always be attached and connected to the cliff for a total safety.

Program

D1: Easy climb or hike, then evening and night on a cliff.
We meet together in the late afternoon, or before depending on the choice of access (easy multi pitch route climbing or hiking).
After climbing a few easy pitches, or a path requiring the usage of the rope if you are not a climber, we will land on a ledge in the sky for a well deserved dinner.
Then we will install together your two-seater portaledge above the wall, for a magic sunset and night.

D2: Breakfast in the void and abseiling.
In the morning, you will have a hot coffee and a croissant whenever you want, facing the sunrise, with feet in the air!
Dismantling and storage of the portaledge and bivouac equipment.
Then we will leave the place by abseiling down.
Separation in the middle of the morning, or extension for those who wish to climb (not included in the price, contact me for more information and rates).

The price includes

• Supervision by the mountain guide.
• The portaledge for two people.
• Safety equipment necessary for the practice of the activity: harness, helmet, rope, lanyard, carabiners, etc.
• Sleeping bags.
• Floor mattresses.

The price does not include

• Return transport to the meeting place.
• Your meals (dinner and breakfast).
• Snacks.
• Drinks.
• Your insurance.
• Anything not mentioned in "The price includes".
