Mountain climbing course: the cracks of Chamonix

Description

With its excellent orange rock and its high mountain environment, the reputation of Chamonix granite is well known! Come and rub shoulders with some of the most beautiful cracks in the Mont Blanc massif and enrich your climbing technique with this very special gesture.

From the neophyte to the king of hand jamming, from long outings to express approaches, the richness of the massif is such that there is something to satisfy all tastes and all levels. I propose a climbing / mountaineering trip in the heights of Chamonix, during which we will go every day to discover a new route of the massif, for the pleasure of the climbing, the view and to develop your skills. Sharpen your shoes, take out your crack gloves and follow the guide!

NB: Even if it is possible to find routes for all climbing levels, to get the most out of this trip, I recommend a minimum climbing level of 5b/5c in bolted crags and to be in good general physical shape. We will discuss the program together to adapt the choice of routes to your level and your constraints.

Program

D1: Ascent of the "Rébuffat-Pierre" route on the Cosmiques spur.
After checking the equipment and getting to know each other, we take the cable car up to the Aiguille du Midi.
After a short descent with crampons, we climb the Rébuffat-Pierre route on the Cosmiques spur and finish with the Cosmiques ridge, before going back down to sleep at the Cosmiques hut, where we enjoy a magnificent high mountain atmosphere.

D2: Ascent of the "Le lifting du Roi" route on the Roi de Siam.
After an early morning glacial approach immersing us in a high mountain atmosphere, we climb the "Lifting du Roi" route on the Roi de Siam. The nearby Grand Capucin will watch over us and give us ideas for a future climbing trip!
In the afternoon, we return to the Cosmiques hut where we spend a 2^nd night.

D3: Ascent of the Rébuffat route at the Aiguille du Midi.
It's already time to go back down! But not before having climbed one of the great Chamonix classics whose reputation is well established: the famous Rébuffat route on the south face of the Aiguille du Midi. The night at the refuge will allow us to start the route before the arrival of the cable car climbers and so to climb this jewel at our own pace.

The price does not include

• Transport to and from Chamonix.
• The lift to the Aiguille du Midi (or other if the program changes): about 70€ / person.
• Half-board accommodation at the Cosmiques hut for you and the guide: about 70€ / person + 50€ for the guide to be shared between the participants.
• Drinks at the refuge.
• Picnics.
• Possible transport (it is customary for clients to transport the guide).
• Your personal insurance.
• Anything not mentioned in "The price includes".
