Snowshoeing and fondue evening in Albiez (Maurienne)

Description

I invite you to share a fondue under the stars, the full moon or in the sun, after a short snowshoe hike in the heart of the Maurienne valley in Savoie.

On a short snowshoe hike at night, once we are away from the lights of the village, our eyes get used to the darkness so we can distinguish the relief and appreciate the panorama, the stars and nature.

In the heart of the mountains, in a suitable and friendly location, away from the family-friendly resort of Albiez-Montrond, we will take a long gourmet break with mulled wine and hot apple juice as an aperitif, before the scent of Beaufort fondue fills the air. A non-alcoholic fondue can be prepared on request.

You will enjoy an unforgettable day or evening, away from the usual, in the friendly atmosphere of a small group.

The hike starts closer to your accommodation.
This hike is suitable for children aged 5 and over.

If you would like to enjoy other winter outings in the valley, I also offer:

• a trapper's hike with snowshoes in the Maurienne forests,
• a snowshoe hike at the foot of the Aiguilles d'Arves,

Program

• 11am or 7pm: Meet up with your snowshoes and hiking pole.
• Departure for a short snowshoe hike at night or in the sunshine.
• 11.45am or 7.45pm: Aperitif and fondue tasting.
• 1pm or 9pm:  Little mountain culinary surprise enjoyed by everybody.
• Around 2pm or 10pm: Return to the meeting point and end of the hike.
• If you don't have any snowshoes and hiking poles, the stores of Albiez-Montrond resort can rent them for half a day. Call me for more info.
• By default, fondues are held on Tuesday evenings, but all days of the week are possible if they are still available. Please do not hesitate to contact me for further information.

The price includes

• Supervision by the mountain leader, Savoie Mont Blanc heritage guide and referent for the Savoie cheese route.
• Beaufort aperitif and fondue.

The price does not include

• Return transport to the meeting point in the village of Albiez-Montrond, about one hour drive from Chambéry or Albertville.
• Snowshoes and hiking poles.
• Your hiking gear, including warm clothing from head to toe.
• Anything not mentioned in "The price includes".
