Trapper's hike in the Maurienne' forest (Savoie)

Description

I propose a snowshoe hike in the silence of the beautiful Maurienne valley's forests, in the heart of Savoie department. The crunch of footsteps in the snow, little paths winding through the trees, space, nature in its purest state and a mountain herbal tea will accompany you during this beautiful half-day hike in the mountains.

In the peace and quiet of an unspoilt, silent area, this beautiful snowshoe hike offers unparalleled views of the village of Albiez-Montrond, as well as encounters with the wild animals of the forest along the way.

In a little-traveled environment, you will be like a trapper looking for animal tracks in search of food. This easy hike is perfect for recharging your batteries in the calm of nature.

The hike is suitable for children aged 5 and over.

Program

• Departure every Wednesday morning during winter season.
  Other time slots are available on request.
• Meet at 9am Place de l'Opinel in Albiez-Montrond (73300), about one hour's drive from Chambéry or Albertville, with your snowshoes and hiking poles.
• The hike starts a few hundred meters from the meeting point.
• About 3 hours of walking in the forest.
• 12pm: Return to the starting point.

The price includes

• Supervision by the mountain leader, who is also a Savoie Mont Blanc heritage guide.
• Wild mountain herbal tea tasting.

The price does not include

• Return transport to the meeting point in the village of Albiez-Montrond.
• Snowshoes and hiking poles.
• Drinks and a snack according to your habits.
• Your snowshoeing gear, including warm clothing from head to toe.
• Anything not mentioned in "The price includes".
