Glacier hike in the Écrins massif (Hautes-Alpes)

Description

I invite you to join me on a 3-day glacier hiking trip in the Écrins massif, in the heart of the Hautes-Alpes department.

During this journey, you will walk on magnificent glaciers, cross mountain passes, and climb a few easy peaks. This immersion in the high mountains is an opportunity to enjoy the incredible atmosphere of this world of ice and rock. We will enjoy unforgettable views of the high peaks of the Écrins, such as Mont Pelvoux (3943m), Dôme (4015m) and Barre des Écrins (4102 meters altitude and highest point of the massif and the Southern Alps), Ailefroides (3954m), Pic Coolidge (3775m), Montagne des Agneaux (3664m), Pic de Neige Cordier (3614m) or Roche Faurio (3730m).

To continue exploring the mountains of the Hautes-Alpes, you can follow me on an unusual camping trip in the Queyras or Ubaye mountain ranges, or even go climbing around Guillestre. And for a discovery of winter mountaineering, I recommend an introduction to climbing ice waterfalls in the Hautes-Alpes.

Program

• The exact itinerary will be determined together based on your preferences, weather and glacier conditions, your fitness level, etc.
• The first day will involve an ascent to a mountain hut, followed by a glacier trek with a second night in a second mountain hut.

The price includes

• Supervision by the mountain guide.
• The guide's fees also include organization.
• Loan of specific equipment (harness, ropes, helmet, crampons, ice axe, etc.).

The price does not include

• Return transport to the meeting point.
