Infos & BookingDescription
Join me for the full Chassezac canyon descent in Lozère, an unmissable, monumental canyoning experience!
The full Chassezac descent is the ultimate benchmark for enthusiasts of breathtaking scenery and thrills. Nicknamed the "Pearl of the Cévennes", this granite canyon offers total immersion at the bottom of spectacular and vertiginous gorges.
As soon as you enter the narrow section, the adventure takes on a grand scale: this highly aquatic route features a series of rappels (including one nearly 10 meters high), slides in natural water toboggans, and jumps into deep, crystal-clear pools (jumps up to 8 meters, all of which can be bypassed or adapted).
What makes this canyon unique? Its "mineral cathedral" feel. By tackling the full route, you traverse one of the region's most enclosed and pristine gorges, where light plays across towering rock faces. The atmosphere is wild, fun, and decidedly adventurous.
Guided by a professional canyoning guide, you will navigate the route safely throughout the day (or an intensive half-day). While the trip requires good physical fitness, it remains accessible to motivated, active individuals, even those with little prior rappelling experience.
In short, the full Chassezac descent is far more than just a trip down a canyon: it is a full day of adventure, a concentrated dose of adrenaline, and a journey into the heart of the Lozère's most spectacular nature. It is the perfect outing to create unforgettable memories and experience canyoning on a grand scale!
