Mont-Blanc is one of the most famous peaks in the world, it is also the highest point of Western Europe, the dream of any mountaineer. Here in 1786, with its first ascent, mountaineering was born.
The program proposed here aims to acclimatize you to the altitude so that you really enjoy the climb to the summit of Mont Blanc at 4807 meters.
It is divided into two parts: the first one will take place in the Monte Rosa massif with the ascent of the various summits more than 4000 meters high (Margherita hut 4554m, Zumsteinspitze 4563m, Punta Parrot 4432m, ...) which are perfect for good acclimatization.
Follow a day of rest in Courmayeur to recover well. Then, the last two days will be devoted to the ascent of Mont Blanc.
D1: arrival in Courmayeur in the evening. Half board stay at the Monte Bianco hut in Val Veni (reachable by car). Control of personal equipment of participants.
D2: meet at 10am at the hut and transfer to Gressoney in a place called Staffal (1850m). From here lifts to Indren (3260m). We will then climb to refuge Mantova (3498m) throught a 1h30 walk. ½ board in refuge.
D3: departure around 4 am and climb to the Margherite hut (4554m) by its normal route (4 to 5 hours climb). On the way back to the Mantova hut you will climb several summits more than 4000 meters located less than 45 minutes from the main track. Arrival at the hut around 2.30/3pm. ½ board in refuge.
D4: departure around 5 am and short descent then climb in 3 hours an a half at the top of the Punta Giordani (4046m) by its normal route. Return to the Indren and then descent to Staffal with lifts and road to Courmayeur. Return to refuge Monte Bianco in the afternoon.
D5: rest, as it is important to recover well !
D6: meet at 6:30am at the refuge and transfer to Chamonix/Les Houches. Climb by cable car then by train to the Nid d'Aigle (2415m). From here in 5h/5h30 of walk we reach the 3815 meters of altitude of the refuge du Gouter. Stay in ½ board.
D7: departure from the refuge at 2am and climb Mont Blanc (4807m) in 5 to 6 hours. Return by the same route to the refuge du Gouter then the Nid d'Aigle and finally Les Houches. End of the program. From 12 to 14 hours of walking.
The price includes
- Supervision by the mountain guide for the duration of the program
- Stay at the Monte Bianco hut, at the Vittorio Emanuele hut and at the Gouter hut with half board (excluding drinks at the hut and filling with thermos or gourds for shopping)
- Transfer to and from Gran Paradiso
- Insurance in case of emergency
