Go for 4 days of hiking in the Orsiera-Rocciavrè Natural Park located in the Italian Piedmont near Turin.
You will discover vast protected areas with remarkable biodiversity, between the Susa valley and Val Chisone. And you will travel the Park at the best time, as June offers an explosion of colors and scents.
D1: Città (municipality of San Giorgio di Susa) - Cortavetto - Toesca hut.
The route, quite forested and interspersed with vast mountain pastures, passes through the small lake of the frogs in Cortavetto and leads to the refuge.
Positive / negative elevation: + 640m, hiking time: 3 hours.
D2: Toesca hut - Sabbione pass (2650m) - Selleries hut.
An ascent then a descent into the increasingly mineral world of Val Chisone.
Positive / negative elevation: + 940m / - 660m, hiking time: 5 to 6 hours.
D3: Selleries hut - Superiore di Malanotte pass - Punta Cristalliera - Lago Rosso - Val Gravio hut.
Climb of the Punta Cristalliera (2801m) then small mountain lakes dot the landscape... beautiful!
Positive / negative elevation: + 820m / - 1400m, hiking time: 6 hours.
D4: Val Gravio hut - Alpi di Piansignore - Montebenedetto - Città.
Last very forested stage leading to the Carthusian monastery of Montebenedetto (13th century). Return to the cars via Adret, a charming little mountain village.
Positive / negative elevation: +250m / - 500m, hiking time: 3h30.
