Description

Here I offer you a star-shaped stay from Sölden in the Ötztal valley (the longest in Austria), with a comfortable pension as base camp. This allows you to discover different panoramas every day, to go to the foot of the glaciers, to climb small and easy peaks or to see them reflected in the many mountain lakes in this valley via balcony paths.

An invitation to discover in the midst of a remarkable hiking area.

The highlights of this stay:

  • Accessible routes at the gateway to the high mountains.
  • A very rich and varied natural and human environment.
  • A living mountain in the Tyrolean tradition.
  • The numerous mountain lakes.

Program

D1: Hike above Sölden, in the Brunnenbergwald forest.

D2: Tiefenbachferner glacier - Vent.
Bus trip to the Tiefenbachferner glacier at 2700 metres above sea level. From there a balcony path will lead us to Vent where you can enjoy the magnificent scenery and the surrounding peaks.

D3: Wannenkarsee - Brunnenkogelhaus.
Shuttle trip to the Windache valley where a beautiful hike awaits you. First in the forest, then through blueberries and rhododendrons, you will reach the mountain pastures leading to the Wannenckarsee. The ascent ends at the perched Brunnenkogelhaus hut and the return to Sölden is done on the opposite side.

D4: Ascent of the Wildes Mannle (3023m).
Today, the ascent of a small summit at more than 3000 meters is on the programme, using a chairlift from Vent to gain a little bit of altitude. The Wildes Mannle is situated at the foot of the Wildspitze (highest peak in the valley and 2nd highest peak in Austria). It is a hike into a grandiose mineral world that awaits you!

D5: Obergurgl and the UNESCO biosphere reserve.
Hike in the biosphere reserve which will lead you to the foot of the Rotmoosferner glacier. Here you will discover varied and luminous landscapes ranging from rich alpine meadows to glacial moraines.

D6: Gaislachkogel (3056m) via 2 cable car sections and back to Sölden via the Gaislacher See.
End of your stay with a breathtaking view of the valley and the surrounding peaks. Descent to Sölden via Gaislacher See.
