Description
I propose you a 3 or 4 day course in Chamonix to become autonomous in multi pitch route climbing. Rope handling, abseiling and belay organisation will have no secrets for you after these few days. You wil then be able to climb routes of several piches on your own.
This course is also an opportunity to discover several magnificent cliffs, offering superb views of the many high peaks that dominate us.
So if you are interested in this adventure, join me in the mythical Chamonix-Mont-Blanc valley in Haute-Savoie!
Level required: climbing 5b leading.

Program
D1: Learning of rope handling in multi pitch routes.
Meeting point in Chamonix at the Gaillands cliff at 9.30am for this day dedicated to rope handling.
Les Gaillands is a historic school site and the closest to the center of Chamonix. It offers many routes in all levels, including easy routes in grades 4 and 5. The beautiful compact gneiss of the place offers all styles of climbing: dihedral, slab, overhang, vertical wall...
End of the day around 4pm.
D2: First multi pitch routes in Vallorcine.
This time we will head to the Vallorcine cliff to practice all the rope handling skills you learned the day before during your first multi pitch routes! This day will also be an opportunity for you to learn how to abseildown.
In a pleasant mountain environment, above the pastures and the village, the Saix rock offers a magnificent granite and climbing passages typical of this type of rock: slabs, dülfers, dihedrals, etc.
The schedule will be similar to the previous day.
D3: Ascent of a long multi pich route in Chamonix valley.
The route is to be defined according to the level of the group.
It is maybe the opportunty to climb in the following sectors: the big cliff of Passet, the valley of Bérard, the cliff of the Duchère in Contamines-Montjoie, Barberine, etc.
D4 (in the case of a 4-day course): Day dedicated to the attitude to adopt in case of incidents/accidents.
Return to Chamonix on the Gaillands cliff at 10am for a final day dedicated to the behaviors to adopt in case of incidents/accidents, and to answer all your questions!
