Infos & BookingDescription
This trad climbing course in Annot will allow you to learn about "trad" climbing or to progress (technique, safety, movement, etc.) on unbolted routes.
Trad climbing is a more sporty form of climbing in "adventure terrain". The quality and the number of protections in these natural lines (most often in limestone, sandstone or granite) allow to surpass oneself and to reach one's limits in complete safety.
Around the village of Annot in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence department, this course is an opportunity to learn and discover the gestures of this type of climbing. It is also a very good training for high mountain climbing.
If you enjoy this type of climbing, I recommend you follow me on this traditional climbing course in Wadi Rum, Jordan. You can also follow me to discover multi pitch route climbing or climb a multi pitch long route in Savoie Mont Blanc.
Program
D1: Reminders and discovery of traditional climbing and equipment.
Discovery and/or reminder of the fixed and removable protections (pitons, anchors, self-drilling bolts, dowels, cams, friends, etc.), their advantages and disadvantages and their positioning.
Climbing on the cliff of "La Chambre du Roi" in order to learn about the equipment and climbing in cracks.
Objectives: discover and learn the movements specific to these lines of the sandstone (crack, dihedral, hole, Dülfer techniques, chicken wings, multiple locks and jams of all available body parts, etc.).

General handlings (multipoint anchors, abseils).
Knowing how to prepare a route and organize your harness and other specific equipment (unclamp, crack gloves, gear rack, etc.)
