Description

Jordan's Wadi Rum region offers exceptional climbing in a grandiose desert environment, with its impressive red sandstone walls floating above the desert. Here, climbing routes become real adventures, at an affordable level. Many routes are in the 5c/6a level. The climbing is traditional, as it requires the use of specific equipment (friends, cams, etc.) for a safe evolution.

Cracks, tafoni walls, sandstone scales, chimneys... climbing here is varied and fun. In addition to the climbing routes, it is possible to climb the peaks of Wadi Rum via numerous Bedouin routes. These unique routes are a mix of walking, climbing and abseiling. They were the historic routes used by local ibex hunters.

During our stay, we'll alternate between climbing, walking and taking a day's break to discover the famous and incredible site of Petra.

If this type of climbing appeals to you, I also offer traditional climbing courses in Annot in the Southern Alps.
