Description
I suggest you come and discover the beauty of the Calanque de Sormiou during a vertical journey located in an exceptional environment!
During this via corda adventure, you will take vertiginous passages and you will even visit a cave. You will also enjoy incredible views of the Mediterranean Sea.
Two routes are possible:
- the Bec de Sormiou tour with crossing of the Capélan cave,
- the Rumpe Cuou tour and visit to the cave of the same name.
It will be chosen based on weather conditions, the number of participants and their fitness level.
Depending on the violence of the winds, the height of the waves or the humidity of the rock, the route may be modified for obvious safety reasons.
After our meeting, distribution of equipment and a briefing, we will head to Sormiou Calanque to begin our adventure. After the approach walk, we will overcome the various obstacles located at the seaside using harnesses, safety lanyards and ropes. You discover areas that are still wild and above all not accessible by traditional hiking trails.

Equipment to bring: A pair of shoes for the approach walking (low hiking shoes, trail shoes or sneakers), an adapted sport outfit, a windproof jacket, at least 1.5 liter of water, sun glasses, sun cream, snacks or picnic and when summer approaches, your swimsuit which can be useful just in case.

Program
- Meeting point at 9am or 12.30pm on the parking lot of the "Decathlon" store of Bonneveine (Chemin du Roy d'Espagne, 13009 Marseille).
- Carpooling to Sormiou Calanque with the instructor's vehicle (4 seats).
- Briefing and distribution of equipment.
- 20-minute approach walk to the Lui d'Aï or Rumpe Cuou pass.
- Approximately 2 and a half hours of via corda.
- 20-minute walk back to the parking lot.
- Total duration: approximately 3 and a half hours.
The price includes
- Supervision by the climbing instructor.
- Technical equipment required for the activity: helmet, harness, lanyard, belay device, ropes, etc.
- Parking fees in the Calanque of Sormiou (10€).
The price does not include
- Return transport to the meeting place in Marseille.
- Snacks.
- Drinks.
- Anything not mentioned in "The price includes".
