Infos & BookingDescription
Are you looking for an advanced mountain bike course?
An electric mountain bike course intended for people who are already comfortable on bikes but who want to take a new technical step in order to be confident in all circumstances on high mountain routes such as All Mountain – Enduro?
So this formula located between "intensive electric mountain bike course" and "mountain bike hike" should meet your expectations!
More technical and sportier, this course is a logical continuation of our introductory course in electric mountain biking in Queyras. The concept remains the same, perfecting the essential technical skills in the morning and sporting hikes in the high valleys of Queyras in the afternoon. This time we will look for new terrain, even more varied, tight turns on the descent and on the ascent, often higher in altitude and therefore often rockier too.
The highlights of the course:
- Advanced level educational workshops with an MCF instructor (French Cycling Instructors).
- A good balance between mountain biking lessons in the morning and contemplative hiking adapted to the level in the afternoon..
- Transfers by 9-seater minibus with trailer to reach suitable areas.
- The repair and cleaning station available in the evening.
Program
Day 1: Mobility, explosiveness, fun singles and old mule trails.
We start by discussing your cycling experience and actions to improve. Once the framework is set, we quickly set off on a first section of trail to observe the level of each participant. No need to be embarrassed, everyone is there for the same goal: to progress.
Correction of faults, then work on balance and alternation of pedaling-explosive cadences on adapted portions of trails in order to warm up well until the end of the morning.
Well-deserved picnic break and off we go for a beautiful half-day hike: enough to drain the battery with your eyes fixed on the singles and the landscapes of the Saint-Véran valley.
Night in a comfortable lodge.
Day 2: Anticipation, taking trajectories and up & down in the Arvieux valley.
Same program in the morning with technical workshops to improve the actions covered the day before then we emphasize the work on essential themes in the high mountains. Anticipation, taking information, looking at things, working on trajectories are often worked on during this second morning. Then we will ride on balcony trails, singles, shale slabs, roots, a soft larch, and fun and technical hairpins... You will have to take out all your technical panel to "survive" this second half-day.
Night in a comfortable lodge.
Day 3: Crossings, low amplitude jumps and fun descents at the Abries bike park.
Without going so far as to learn how to do 3 meter jumps, today I bring you some valuable advice to gain confidence in rough terrain. Together we try to wrap around or even jump recurring obstacles (roots, rocks, steep slopes, etc.). Once again, your gaze and positioning on the bike are important, but other points are also important: muscle tone, weight reduction... and many other key sequences for landing well.
Another well-deserved rest and afternoon of your choice on the bike park or on a smoother section in the high mountains.
Night in a comfortable lodge.
Day 4: Outing to the high mountains.
To end the week, what about taking to the skies to find the beautiful mountain pasture atmosphere?
Singles uphill, obstacle crossings, rocky areas under the Scots pines and slalom in the crowd of hikers (joke) await us... If you pass everything on the bike without putting a foot, you can officially say that you have reached a milestone!
