Description
Do you already practice climbing (indoors or outdoors), are you visiting the Verdon Gorges, and would you like to take the opportunity to learn the basic techniques for multi-pitch climbing and even complete your first multi-pitch route in this breathtaking setting? This day is for you!
Whether alone or with a partner, you will benefit from professional and personalized guidance. Your day will consist of a session learning essential multi-pitch techniques (rappelling, belaying, progression, belaying, communication, etc.), followed by a short multi-pitch climb adapted to your level.
If you want to go further, I recommend this course in the Verdon to move towards autonomy in multi-pitch climbing and this day of multi-pitch climbing in the Verdon Gorges (which can be complemented with a night at the cliff on a portaledge).
You can also follow me to discover incredible landscapes in the dry canyon of Notre-Dame or that of Venascle in Moustiers-Sainte-Marie.
Program
- Morning: Learning the essential basics for multi-pitch climbing (on the ground and on the rock).
- Preparing for the outing.
- Necessary equipment.
- Communication within the rope team.
- Setting up an anchor.
- Belaying from the anchor (leader and second).
- Rope management.
- Climbing technique.
- Rappelling.
- Afternoon: A short and easy multi-pitch climb (around three pitches). The route will be chosen according to the level of the participant(s). It will allow them to put into practice most of the basics learned in the morning, but the idea is also to have fun and complete their first multi-pitch climb without stress.
The setting for this day may vary. It could, for example, be organized around Quinson, Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, or even La Palud-sur-Verdon.

- Supervision by the climbing instructor.
