Description

Located near Le Vigan, the Orgon waterfalls canyon is one of the magnificent canyons of the Cévennes. Here, at the foot of Mont Aigoual, nature offers breathtaking scenery and remarkable biodiversity, as well as crystal-clear water ideal for water sports.

Carved out by the Coudoulous torrent, a tributary of the Hérault, this wild mountain canyon offers a technical and sporting descent. You'll find a succession of pools and waterfalls, abseils (up to 15 metres high), jumps (from 1 to 8 metres high, but never mandatory), a bit of climbing and one of the region's most beautiful slides: the famous Icare slide.

In this part of the Cévennes, it's also possible to observe traces of old mines that bear witness to past activity. These remains add a historical and heritage dimension to the canyon of the Orgon waterfalls.

Whether you're a fan of whitewater sports, hiking or simply looking for a place to recharge your batteries in the heart of nature, canyoning down the Orgon waterfalls is an unforgettable experience.

The activity is open to children aged 12 and over. Discounts are available for groups of 4 or more.

Program

Meet in Le Vigan, about an hour and 15 minutes' drive from Montpellier or Alès.
30 minutes for equipment, approach walk, briefing and shuttle (depending on season).
3 hours for the canyoning descent.
30 minutes return walk, de-equipping and shuttle (depending on the season).
A total of 4 hours of activity on average.

Supervision by the experienced canyoning instructor.
Quality equipment necessary for the practice of the activity (5mm neoprene wetsuit, neoprene socks, helmet, safety harness, lanyards, etc.).
