Thermal park via ferrata in Saint-Gervais

Description

Located in the thermal park, the via ferrata at Saint-Gervais-les-Bains in Haute-Savoie is designed for sports enthusiasts and offers a unique opportunity to discover the activity in a magnificent environment.

The route takes place on a cliff overlooking a river. It is equipped and accessible between May and October.

The via ferrata in the Saint-Gervais thermal park is fun, sporty, vertiginous and quite challenging, and will delight all fans of this activity! It features an ascending and traversing course, from left to right, embellished with 3 Nepalese footbridges, a log bridge, a beam and a monkey bridge.

The itinerary has 3 distinct sections of different levels. You can do all or part of any of these 3 sections:

• The first part is quite difficult and takes about an hour.
  After an initial traverse, you cross a 10-meter log footbridge, then a 24-meter Himalayan footbridge over the Bonnant, before climbing up a large slab arriving under the thermal baths footbridge (possible escape route). The rest of the route takes you upwards to the right, to a beam just before the end of this section.
  The cost is 200€ for a group of maximum 4 people.
• The second part is difficult and lasts about an hour and a half.
  It includes a series of vertical and overhanging passages, de-escalations, a monkey bridge, a metal footbridge and a Nepalese bridge.
  The price for the first two sections is 240€ for a group of maximum 2 people.
• The third part is very difficult and lasts about an hour.
  It features steep overhangs without rest points and monkey bridges.
  The price for the whole route is 280€ for a group of maximum 2 people.

The return journey is on foot, along a forest path overlooking the cliff on which the via ferrata is located.

Program

• Meet at the parking lot in Le Fayet (Saint-Gervais), 20-minute drive from Chamonix or Cluses.
• 10-minute walk from the parking lot to the start of the via.
• Approximately 1 to 3 hours of climbing depending on options chosen.
• Approximately 15-minute walk down to the parking lot.

The price includes

• Supervision by the climbing instructor.
• Loan of equipement (harness, via ferrata lanyard with energy absorber, helmet).

The price does not include

• Transport to and from the meeting point in Saint-Gervais.
• Snacks.
• Drinks.
• Anything not mentioned in "The price includes".
