Tucaou via ferrata (Aure valley)

Description

In the heart of the Aure valley, between Lannemezan and Saint-Lary-Soulan, the Tucaou via ferrata offers you a fun and vertiginous route which allows you to reach a small summit and enjoy a panoramic view of the mountains of the Pyrenees.

After a short approach walk, the route climbs several rocky ledges linked together by large footbridges and monkey bridges which will give you some sensations. The route is also decorated with beams and ladders which make it very fun. Just in case, an escape route located halfway allows you to quickly reach the parking lot but it would be a shame not to go to the top of the via.

This vertical walk will allow you to gain height in an exceptional natural setting, with friends or family (route accessible to children from 10 years old). Before going back down to the parking, you can enjoy the panorama from the summit located at an altitude of 825 meters.

For the more sporty, it is possible to continue with the Coume Vieille via ferrata to experience a full day of via ferrata at altitude.

Program

• We meet at the parking lot located in the small village of Camous, 5 minutes drive from Arreau, 15 from Saint-Lary-Soulan and 20 from Lannemezan.
• Equipment distribution and briefing.
• 10-minute approach walking to reach the start of the via.
• Approximately 2 hours and a half to climb the via ferrata.
• 30-minute return walking to the parking lot.
• Plan on a half day of activity in total.
• Bring comfortable clothes and sports or mountain shoes, as well as a bottle of water and a snack.

The price includes

• Supervision by the climbing instructor.
• Loan of equipment necessary for the activity (harness, helmet, via ferrata lanyards with energy absorber, etc.).
• Photos of the outing!

The price does not include

• Round-trip transportation to the meeting point in the small village of Camous.
• Sportswear and appropriate footwear (sneakers or hiking boots).
• A small backpack with a water bottle, snacks and sunscreen.
• Anything not mentioned in "The price includes".
