Infos & BookingDescription
The Verdon Gorge is a world-renowned climbing destination. Its potential is simply enormous. While the immense Escalès cliff, located on the right bank, remains the largest, most iconic, and most frequented area, the Verdon boasts many other sectors, both within and outside the gorge, on both the right and left banks. These various sectors offer hundreds of multi-pitch routes, accessible on foot or by rappel.
The multi-pitch routes I offer here are chosen from different sectors based on aspect, difficulty level, objectives, and, of course, the participants' preferences. They can be short (4 to 5 pitches), medium (6 to 7 pitches), or long (8 pitches or more). The access and descent methods (on foot and/or by rappel) are also factored into the overall duration of the outing.
The fundamental principle for clients is to be guided from start to finish. However, depending on your comfort level and preference, you can lead the climb if the opportunity arises.
Multi-pitch guiding is available for one or two people. Under certain conditions (based on your ability to climb independently), outings for 3 to 5 people are also possible (contact me for rates).
The multi-pitch routes offered can range from easy (5c max) to fairly difficult (5c+ to 6b max) or even very difficult (6b+ and above).

If you want to be more independent in the activity, I also offer a day of introduction to multi-pitch climbing in the Verdon as well as a course in the Verdon Gorges to move towards independence in multi-pitch climbing.
Program
The day's schedule will largely depend on the chosen route, but it may include the following steps:
- Meeting: The meeting place and time will be communicated in advance. These will, of course, depend on the route, the time of year, the aspect, the weather conditions, etc.
After initial contact, personal equipment will be checked, and any additional gear will be loaned to the participant(s).
The day's program and the route will be presented, and I will be happy to answer any questions. - Approach: Depending on the chosen route, access may be on foot, along fixed ropes, and/or by rappelling. In the latter cases, a technical briefing will be mandatory (safety instructions, communication, etc.). It should be noted that rappelling is only possible for those already familiar with this technique.
- Pre-climb briefing: At the base of the route, we'll gear up and I'll give you the final recommendations (equipment, communication, route, etc.).
- Climb: I'll not only guide you up the various pitches of the multi-pitch climb, but I'll also take the opportunity to coach you on technique and movement, always with the aim of boosting your confidence and independence. The belay stations will be great opportunities to chat, and the use of walkie-talkies will also facilitate communication throughout the climb.
Depending on your interest, I can also provide information about the specific features of the Verdon Gorge (physical environment, biodiversity, climbing, etc.) along the way. - Return: As with the approach, the return to the starting point will depend on the chosen multi-pitch route (trail, rappels).
You will then give the equipment back. - The warrior's rest: Without being mandatory, we can end this beautiful day by getting together for a drink, in a well-chosen place and taking the time to share everyone's feelings after this vertical journey.
