"Balcons de l'Orb" via ferrata (Hérault)

Description

Join me for a fantastic adventure on the Balcons de l'Orb via ferrata, a beautiful route perfect for getting started with via ferrata and experiencing heights.

This via ferrata offers two distinct routes that can be combined (or not!), allowing you to adapt the level, difficulty, and duration of your outing.

The first section is less vertiginous and allows you to familiarize yourself with the equipment and the environment. It consists of a traverse along the cliff face to a rope bridge that will definitely give you a thrill. The route then climbs to its end. You can then return by walking down a path or continue on the second part.

The second section, on the other hand, allows you to gain altitude and traverse the sides of a vertiginous cliff, offering a magnificent panoramic view of the Orb valley. This section features a zip line (optional), a rope bridge, a Tibetan bridge, and a large footbridge. The route is well-equipped, making it easy and fun to navigate.

This via ferrata is suitable for children aged 8 and up.

• Meet at the official via ferrata parking lot, near the villages of La Tour-sur-Orb and Bédarieux, a 30-minute drive from Clermont-l'Hérault and 45 minutes from Béziers.
• Equipment distribution.
• 15-20 minute approach hike with a slight uphill climb.
• Choice of the most suitable route.
• Approximately 2 hours to complete the entire via ferrata.
• 15-minute return hike.
